The pools, which are used by millions of people, especially children, occupy an important place in terms of human health and health problems and accidents are inevitable unless the safety and hygiene issues of swimming pools are solved.
According to the regulation on health principles and Conditions of swimming pools published in the official gazette of the Ministry of Health on 06.03.2011, the depth of children’s swimming pools cannot be more than 50 cm. In accordance with the same regulation, children’s pools should have a separate water preparation facility, should be cleaned once a month after being emptied and disinfected and filled with clean water and re-started. Children’s swimming pools should be separate from large swimming pools.
